The Bible story for today is the Golden Calf. You can find the video in the Bible videos tab.

Activity: Colour the corresponding Bible colouring page.

Take your dice and your laminated apples sheet. Roll the dice and count to see what number you rolled. Cover up that number with your counting blocks. Keep going until all the numbers are covered up!

Worksheet: Find the Missing Numbers Mittens worksheet (after bright orange sheet). Get your scissors and glue and put the mittens along the bottom in the right spot.

CVC Words and Reading Strategies

Last week Tuesday, we started learning different reading strategies. In the video in the Phonics tab, I review the different strategies we can use to figure out what a word says. We also review how to decode a word. Watch the video in the Phonics tab entitled CVC Words and Reading Strategies.

Activity: Find the worksheet in your yellow duotang that asks you to write the beginning sound for each picture (after bright green sheet). You can colour the pictures when you are finished.

Pick a page from the penmanship section at the back of your yellow folder. Be sure you are holding your pencil correctly! Pinch with your thumb and pointer finger, and tuck the other fingers inside. Always start your letters at the top.
